West End Farm offers the opportunity to learn about horses and riding in a fun, friendly, low-key environment.
We are here to help riders of all ages and experience achieve their personal riding goals and potential. That may mean learning to post the trot, it may mean winning show ribbons or anything in between. Whether you have a child who's horse-crazy, or you are an adult wanting to get back into riding, there's a home for you at West End Farm.
In addition to lessons, we offer many other opportunities to help our students become well-rounded horse people and, more importantly, well-rounded people. These include horse shows, clinics, camps, barn & farm work, horse leasing and horse ownership and boarding.
Our boarding program emphasizes the health, happiness, and well-being of the horses in our care. This includes daily turnout (weather permitting) on our over 70 acres of lush pasture, daily stall cleaning, high-quality hay and grain and a pro-active approach to care.
Horseback riding is one of the oldest, most basic and most profound of human activities. We are excited by the opportunity to ride with you on this journey of discovery!
Kelly is West End Farm, LLC's head trainer, founder and owner. Kelly grew up in St. Louis where she was the original horse-crazy girl riding bare back on her beloved Arabian, Sahhara. Kelly built on this organic basis with training in the Hunter, Jumper and Dressage disciplines. She learned her craft from several well-respected trainers in various disciplines in Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City. She has had further instruction from some of the most prominent names in the sport, including Olympians George Morris, Greg Best and Peter Gray. Kelly has many years of experience teaching students of all ages and riding levels, and at WEF focuses her training on helping intermediate and advanced riders progress to reach their maximum potential.
Annie is West End Farm, LLC's assistant trainer and barn manager. Annie runs the day-to-day operations of the barn and brings an infectious enthusiasm to teaching beginner and intermediate riders.
Annie grew up in Colorado and began her riding career there showing Hunter Jumpers up and down the Front Range. She went on to get a degree in Equine Science from William Woods University.
Annie loves the team spirit of West End Farm, and looks forward to helping you and your family not only learn to ride, but also take care of these great horses who make it all possible.
